Looking Ahead: 2026 Goals

+ Program Expansion

2026 marks an exciting year of growth for FFA-NC as we expand and strengthen programs designed to support foster families and youth across NC. By enhancing existing services and launching new initiatives, we will address unmet needs, deepen impact, and create sustainable, family-centered support systems in the communities we serve.

+ Increased Advocacy

This year, we’ve amplified our voice to champion the needs of foster families and youth at the local, state, and national levels. Through strategic partnerships, legislative engagement, and community awareness efforts, we’re driving meaningful change and ensuring that those we serve are heard and supported. In 2026, our goal is to strengthen and expand our statewide presence to ensure support reaches all 100 counties in NC.

+ Expanding Resource Parent Support

With the support of a $1.2 million grant from The Duke Endowment over three years, FFA-NC will implement expanded resource parent support through peer support and counseling services. This initiative will incorporate research-based interventions and robust data collection, allowing us to evaluate outcomes and use evidence to guide future program decisions.

+ Partnership with Healthy Blue Care Together

Beginning December 2025, and continuing through 2026, FFA-NC will support the launch and ongoing implementation of Healthy Blue Care Together, providing enhanced support and resources for resource parents participating in the program.

+ Workforce Development and Trauma-Informed Practice

To strengthen our internal capacity and ensure consistent, trauma-informed support for families, FFA-NC will train an additional staff member in Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI). This investment will bring our total number of TBRI-trained staff to three, enhancing our ability to support families with evidence-based, relationship-centered approaches.

+ 2026 Annual Golf Tournament

FFA-NC will host its Third Annual Golf Tournament on April 20, 2026, in Monroe, NC. This event will continue to serve as an important fundraiser and community-building opportunity, bringing together supporters for a day of fellowship, fun, and mission-driven impact.
